New Delhi: Atrocities against Hindus are not stopping in Bangladesh. Ahead of Durga Puja (Durga Puja 2024), some temples in Bangladesh have received threats from Islamic groups. Temple committees were threatened that they would have to pay 5 lakh Bangladeshi taka if they wanted to perform Durga Puja. If money is not paid then puja will not be allowed.

Along with this, on September 22, some people of Madrasa broke the idols of Maa Durga in Raipur area of ​​Laxmiganj of the district. Recently, statues were also vandalized in Barguna district. Some people of the Hindu community had also lodged a complaint with the district authorities of Chittagong and Khulna on this matter.

'Threats given to more than 25 temples'

Mahendra Nath, general secretary of Hindu Buddhist Christian Ekta Parishad, said that more than 25 temples in Dekop town of Khulna city have received threats demanding Rs 5 lakh for celebrating the five-day festival.
