This strange reason is hidden behind the practice of feeding milk to snakes

Astrology :-The name of Lord Shiva remains glorified throughout the month of Sawan. But apart from Shiva, many small festivals also come in the month of Si, which have their own tradition of celebration. The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha in Sawan. Nag Devta is worshiped on this day.

Many people observe fast on this day and if not fast then they definitely worship snakes. Rudrabhishek has special significance on Nag Panchami. It is believed that by doing this one gets freedom from Kaalsarp Dosh. Apart from this, there is also a tradition of feeding milk to the snake on this day.

But why milk is fed to snakes on Nag Panchami, let us know the reason behind it:

Snakes have great importance in Hindu religion. A snake adorns the neck of Lord Shiva. Lord Vishnu is seated on Sheshnag. Vasuki serpent was also used in the churning of the ocean. For these reasons, snakes are considered worshipable in Hindu religion.

According to Hindu religion, milk is a symbol of the moon. And the moon is present on the head of Lord Shiva. In this way, both the moon and the snake are associated with Shiva. Therefore, in the month of Sawan, to please Lord Shiva, people feed milk to Lord Shiva's servant Nag.
