Big success for Army in Jammu and Kashmir, 5 terrorists killed in Kulgam; 2 soldiers also injured, Army killed 5 terrorists in Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar. The army has achieved great success in Jammu and Kashmir. Army and security forces personnel have killed 5 terrorists in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. This encounter between soldiers and terrorists took place on Thursday morning in Kadar area of Kulgam. There is news of two soldiers also being injured in the encounter. According to the Army's Chinar Corps, alert soldiers noticed suspicious activity in Kadar area. After which the area was surrounded by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. After being surrounded, the terrorists started firing on the security forces. The answer to this was given by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. In which 5 terrorists were killed. Till the time of writing the news, army action was going on in Kadar area of Kulgam.
This is the biggest encounter in recent times in Jammu and Kashmir. In which so many terrorists have been killed. Since June this year, terrorists had suddenly increased their activity in all the areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists had also carried out several attacks in Jammu district. Apart from the army, common people were also targeted by the terrorists. This year, terrorists had opened fire on the employees of a tunnel building company in Ganderbal. In which many people including a doctor lost their lives. In view of these incidents, the Central Government had ordered the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police to take effective action against the terrorists. As a result, terrorists were killed in action at many places including today's encounter.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also going to review the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir today. Just before this review meeting, security forces were successful in killing 5 terrorists in Kulgam. After making Jammu and Kashmir a Union Territory, there has been a decrease in terrorist incidents here as compared to before. Along with army and police personnel, thousands of central forces are deployed in Jammu and Kashmir. The situation has now improved so much that this year people lit Diwali lamps in Srinagar's Lal Chowk, which was earlier considered the most dangerous. Earlier, after three decades, a Muharram procession had also taken place in Srinagar.
