First FIR registered in UP for providing wrong information in SIR survey, case is from Rampur
New Delhi. An FIR has been registered against a woman and her two sons for giving wrong information in the Voter List Special Intensive Revision (SIR) survey released in Uttar Pradesh. This is the first case in UP of FIR being registered related to wrong information in SIR. A woman named Noorjahan, living in Rampur district, filled wrong information in the SIR form about her two sons Aamir Khan and Danish Khan. One son of the woman has been living in Dubai and the other in Kuwait for many years while she hid this fact. This fraud came to light when BLO digitized the data.

After this, on the instructions of Rampur District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, a case has been registered against the woman and her two sons. DM has appealed to all the people that to maintain the sanctity, transparency and fairness of SIR, all the voters should give correct information about themselves and their family members. Avoid any kind of wrong entry, hiding facts or giving false details otherwise action will be taken against such people.
