New Delhi. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has come to India on a four-day visit. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. During this, India-US bilateral relations, trade and the global situation were also discussed between the two leaders. Both India and America expressed their commitment to work together in the global interest. US Secretary of State Marco, on behalf of President Donald Trump, invited Indian Prime Minister Modi to visit the White House. In this meeting, India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore were prominently present.

PM Modi has shared the photo of the meeting with Rubio on his X account. Modi wrote, very happy to meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. We discussed the continued progress in the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and issues related to regional and global peace and security. India and the United States will continue to work together in the global interest. Whereas US Ambassador Sergio Gore wrote on his X account, it was great to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Marco Rubio. In this meeting, we had fruitful discussions on ways to further deepen US-India cooperation in the areas of security, trade, and critical technologies. These are areas that strengthen both our countries and promote a free and open Indo-Pacific region. India is an important partner of America.

This visit of Rubio is considered very important from the point of view of India-America relations. Rubio has come to India at a time when no agreement has been reached yet to end the war between America and Iran, although the ceasefire continues. Let us tell you that before reaching Delhi, US Foreign Minister Rubio had gone to Kolkata where he visited the Mother House of Missionaries of Charity established by Mother Teresa.
