New Delhi. By winning the elections, Narendra Modi has equaled Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of remaining PM for the longest period. After winning the elections, PM Modi has held the post continuously for 4398 days. PM Modi will break Jawaharlal Nehru’s record of remaining PM for a long time by winning the elections on Wednesday. Narendra Modi took office as PM in 2014. Since then his government has taken many historic decisions. Due to which India’s prestige has increased in the world.

After becoming PM, Narendra Modi started the scheme of opening Jan Dhan accounts in the year 2014. So far, 58 crore people have opened accounts in banks under this scheme. Due to Jan Dhan accounts, the government got the opportunity to start Direct Benefit Transfer i.e. DBT to provide subsidy in various schemes. A historic decision was taken to abolish Article 370 during the rule of PM Modi. Due to which Jammu and Kashmir completely became a part of India. PM Modi also launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides medical facilities worth Rs 5 lakh annually to the poor and elderly. He also brought a scheme to provide PM residence and drinking water to every house. Under which more than 4 crore houses were built and clean drinking water reached more than 15 crore houses.

During his 12 years of rule, PM Modi also gave India a chance to become self-reliant in many fields by starting the Make in India scheme. This strengthened the industries. He also provided cleanliness in the country under the Swachh Bharat Mission and the scheme of cooking gas at low rates to poor families under the Ujjwala scheme. During the reign of PM Modi, India became the fourth country to land a spacecraft on the moon. Apart from this, PM Modi also decided to open nuclear energy to the private sector. The important work of unifying the prices of goods across the country by introducing GST was also done during the reign of PM Modi.

PM Modi also completely changed India’s attitude towards terrorist incidents carried out by Pakistan. When the terrorist attacks of Uri, Pulwama and Pahalgam took place, on the instructions of PM Modi, the army carried out surgical strikes, air strikes and Operation Sindoor in Pakistan and defeated the enemy country. Apart from this, during the era of PM Modi, India not only progressed in making weapons, but also started selling missiles like BrahMos and other items to other countries. Due to which a lot of money came into the treasury. In the year 2020, when the Covid pandemic created terror in the world and took the lives of crores of people, PM Modi inspired vaccine makers to make a vaccine against it. Due to which not only Indians, but all the countries of the world could get free corona vaccine. Apart from this, 1.46 lakh kilometers of highways were built during the rule of PM Modi. Vande Bharat trains were started and 99 per cent of the railway routes were electrified. At the same time, airports were also built in many cities.
