CID At Mamata Banerjee’s House: CID reached Mamata Banerjee’s house, action taken as part of investigation into fake signature case of TMC MLAs

New Delhi. The CID team today reached the residence and office of former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee in Kalighat and investigated. As part of the investigation into the alleged fake signature case of TMC MLAs, the CID team arrived to search. Police and Central Force personnel were also present along with CID. Another CID team also reached the Camac Street office of Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and Trinamool MP Abhishek Banerjee in the same case and investigated there too. CID had already summoned Abhishek by sending a notice but he did not appear.

CID had asked Abhishek Banerjee to be present for questioning at its headquarters in South Kolkata by 5 pm on June 9. Let us tell you that this entire matter is related to the alleged fake signatures of some Trinamool Congress MLAs in an important proposal related to appointments to important posts reserved for the opposition in the West Bengal Assembly. CID has also constituted a five-member SIT to investigate this case. The CID team reached Mamata Banerjee’s house at a time when she is in Delhi.

On the other hand, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh condemned it and said that we are all law abiding citizens. Everyone knows that at this time he has an India Block meeting and another important meeting in Delhi. What is happening here in his absence? I tried to go inside, but CID did not allow. Till the time Mamata Banerjee was here, no one came and now when she is in Delhi, CID is investigating her house. This is not good for democracy. On the other hand, the court has sent TMC leader Sabyasachi Dutta, arrested on charges of intimidation and extortion, to judicial custody for 8 days.
