During the last hearing, the court had directed the police to present the case diary and evidence collected in this case. After hearing the arguments of Khan sir’s lawyers, the court granted him interim relief. Also, reserved its decision on the bail plea of another accused in this case, Roshan Anand.

What is the whole matter?

The case pertains to an incident that took place on June 2, when a group of 15-20 people allegedly vandalized the campus of ‘Khan Global Studies’ (KGS) in Patna and pelted stones at the coaching institute run by Khan sir. The next day, police detained two security guards attached to Khan sir’s institute after a video surfaced on social media in which they were seen opening fire. Police said that the weapons used in the firing have been seized and sent for forensic examination. After this, an FIR was registered in Kadamkuan police station and both the guards are in judicial custody.

Initially, Khan sir had alleged that people associated with a rival coaching institute were behind the attack on KGS, but later members of the rival institute accused him of carrying out the incident. Presenting a viral video of the firing by security guards, he claimed that the incident was planned.
