NEET UG re-examination: Committed to protecting the interests of students: Dharmendra Pradhan!

Amid controversies related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG and preparations for re-examination, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reached the headquarters of the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday, where he reviewed the arrangements. During this, he held a meeting with the officials and discussed the preparations for the NEET re-examination to be held on June 21, security arrangements and measures to ensure transparency.

After meeting officials at the National Testing Agency, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the government is fully committed to protecting the interests of students and every possible step is being taken to make the examination process fair and credible. He assured that all necessary arrangements will be completed on time for the students who have to appear in the re-examination.

On the issue of paper leak, the Education Minister clearly said that the government is taking such incidents very seriously. He said that strict action is being taken against the culprits and comprehensive reforms are being implemented to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future. According to him, the Education Ministry and related agencies are working together towards making the examination system more secure, technology-based and accountable.

While talking to the media, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the CBI is investigating the NEET UG paper leak case. Where and how did things go wrong in NEET paper? I have full faith in the CBI investigation.

CBI should take strictest action against those caught in this case. The case should be tried in a fast track court and they should be given the harshest punishment. People with whom we had agreements. NTA is reviewing what to do against those who have broken the agreement.

The Union Education Ministry says that maintaining the trust of students and parents is the top priority of the government. For this purpose, monitoring of examination centres, security of question papers, digital tracking system and other security measures are being strengthened.

The ministry also informed that all preparations have been made for the NEET re-examination to be held on June 21. Clear instructions have been given to the National Testing Agency that the examination should be conducted with complete transparency, fairness and strict security standards.

The Education Ministry appealed to the students not to pay attention to any rumors and keep full focus on their preparation. At the same time, NTA has expressed confidence that the efforts and new arrangements of the government will further strengthen the credibility of the examination system and incidents like paper leaks can be effectively prevented in future.

Let us inform that the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday had released the advance information slip of the exam city for the candidates appearing in the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. Candidates are viewing this by logging in through their application number and password.

With this they will know in which city of the country their examination center is. Along with this, the National Testing Agency has also clarified that this is not the admit card of the examination. According to the agency, this is only a document giving information about the city where the examination center of the candidate will be fixed.

NEET-UG 2026 re-exam will be conducted on Sunday afternoon, June 21. This examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The examination will be conducted in 551 cities of the country and 14 cities of foreign countries. NEET-UG is the biggest medical entrance examination in the country.
