RCB Released And Retained Players 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru is one of the eight teams to make their debut in the IPL 2008 season and also one of the few teams to remain trophyless to date.
Though the franchise has many star players in their dugout, they still fail to lift their maiden title. With the advantage of a mega auction, RCB will be keen to rebuild their squad with much more efficiency than before in a motive to win the IPL 2025 trophy.
Though the exact date for the IPL 2025 mega auction has not yet been revealed, the event is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London.
RCB Released And Retained Players 2025 (Probable)
As per the report, the teams must announce their final retention list by 5 PM IST on October 31.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.
With consecutive failures, RCB is expected to remodel their team by making use of the mega auction for the next season. Apart from reconditioning the team, the Bengaluru-based franchise is expected to revamp their support staff unit.
As a part of the process, RCB named Dinesh Karthik as new batting coach and Mentor. Apart from naming a new batting coach, RCB is rumoured to name a new scouting head for RCB replacing Malolan Rangarajan.
According to the IPL committee rules, each franchise can have 25 players in their squad, out of which a maximum of 8 can be foreign players. In Playing 11, each team can have a maximum of 4 overseas players in the mix.

IPL 2025 Auction Date
The 2025 mega auction is expected to be held in the 3rd or 4th week of November 2024 in UAE or London. The 2025 mega auction will be a more than-a-day event, unlike the mini auctions which will be hosted in a day.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, BCCI increases the purse value of each team by INR 20 crores over the existing purse value of about INR 100 crores.
