IPL 2026 KKR vs DC Playing 11: Mukesh Kumar Returns to Delhi’s Lineup

IPL 2026 KKR vs DC Playing 11: Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders will square off against Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals in the 70th match of the IPL 2026 on May 24 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

With the Delhi Capitals knocked out of the tournament and the Kolkata Knight Riders are in verge of getting knocked out of the tournament, the match is nothing but a clash between the rivals.

Currently, KKR are in the 6th position while DC are in the 8th position of the IPL 2026 Points Table. Speaking at the toss, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said, “We’outside the leg-stump bowl first. It’s pretty simple. We know the scenario depending on what’s going to happen in the previous game, which is happening right now. But regardless of that, we don’t know what the result will be.”

“Also, the wicket looks really good. So yes, it’s very simple. It’s still a game of cricket to be played, and the last six games have been fantastic for us. We still want to compete and win this game.”

“As I said, we don’t know what’s going to happen, but whenever you play a game of cricket, you always look to win. Really proud of the unit, especially because it’s not easy to come back from the situation we were in.”

“It takes courage, character, and attitude to bounce back as a team. IPL is a funny tournament with 24–25 players and support staff, maintaining that atmosphere, intensity and carrying it forward every time is fantastic. So yes, I’m really proud of each and every one. Same team.”

DC captain Axar Patel said, “We would have bowled first as well. We will see how we can do better the next season. I don’t think we played bad cricket, but we didn’t grab the moments which should have been to change the results. We need to learn to do those and look forward. We have two changes.”
