24 standing committees of Parliament formed, Rahul Gandhi gets Defence Committee and Kangana gets IT, know which other leaders got a place

New Delhi : 24 standing committees of Parliament have been formed on Thursday, in which prominent political figures and leaders have been included in various committees. In this list, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has been made a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense Affairs, while senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Radha Mohan Singh has been appointed the chairman of this committee.

Along with this, other BJP leaders have also been given the responsibility of important committees. Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal has been appointed the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs, while the command of the Committee on Finance Affairs has been handed over to BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab.

Veteran Congress leader Digvijay Singh has been appointed as the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Women, Education, Youth and Sports Affairs. Meanwhile, senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav has been made the chairman of the Health Affairs Committee. A special change has been seen in the Communications and IT (Information Technology) Committee. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has been made the chairman of this committee, while film actress Kangana Ranaut has been appointed as a member of this committee.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has been appointed chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, while actor Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Ram in the Ramayana serial, has been made a member of this committee. The leadership of the Railway Affairs Committee has been entrusted to BJP leader CM Ramesh.

This formation of committees includes senior leaders as well as new faces, who are expected to enrich the proceedings of Parliament and discussions on various issues with their experience and contribution in various fields. These standing committees play an important role in thoroughly reviewing and recommending various activities and legislative matters of the Parliament.

The main objective of these committees formed is to monitor and suggest policies and works related to various ministries and departments, so that the schemes and policies of the government can be more effective and public welfare.
