There will be a big change in Pakistan team! Captaincy may be snatched from Babar Azam

Pakistan Cricket Team: Speculation is intense in the cricket world regarding the future of Babar Azam as the captain of Pakistan. Almost all the big players and coaches of the Pakistan cricket team participated in the 'Connection Camp' recently organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). This includes the names of Babar Azam, white ball head coach Gary Kirsten and Test team head coach Jason Gillespie. Amidst the ongoing discussions regarding Babar's leadership, PCB called this important meeting under the leadership of Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Recent reports in Pakistani media have indicated that Babar Azam's position as captain is under scrutiny, especially after the team's disappointing performance in major tournaments like the T20 World Cup. It is being told that Babar will retain his captaincy till the Champions Trophy to be held at home in 2025. But Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has termed all these reports as nonsense.

Kirsten is in no mood to give time to Babar

Citing PCB insiders, Shehzad claimed that Babar has been asked to resign his captaincy of his own free will before the board takes any official action against him. Gary Kirsten's perspective on Babar's captaincy is particularly noteworthy. Reports suggest that Kirsten is advocating major changes in the team and is not in favor of giving more time to Babar.

Babar got Gillespie's support

This attitude is often seen in international cricket. Being a former World Cup-winning coach, Kirsten's stance also makes sense as he wants the team to perform well in the upcoming Champions Trophy. However, Test team coach Jason Gillespie has supported Babar regarding his recent form. He believes that Babar should get a chance and he will make a comeback soon.
