There will be no traffic jam in Noida for 50 years, connectivity will be better than Delhi.

Regional Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CAPMI) is to be implemented to make traffic jam free in Noida and 4 districts. This plan will make the traffic of Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Vikas (Gautam Buddha Nagar), Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr jam free. Also, it will provide better connectivity to Delhi and Gurugram. RFP (Request for Proposal) has been issued to select a consultant company to make this plan. However, RFP for this plan was issued earlier also. But the company did not come. One of the objectives of this regional plan is to promote economic growth in Western UP. The selected consulting company will make a plan. All districts and authorities will implement this plan in their respective areas. In this, everything from increasing the width of roads to new flyovers, bottlenecks and transporters will be kept in mind.

Whatever mobility plan there is in the city will be implemented by Master Plan 2031. Only the consulting company will plan how it will be implemented. Hapur and Ghaziabad have also been included in this regional plan. The authority said that there are many mobility plans at the local level also. The consultant company will study these regional plans and include the better plans or suggestions given in it in its DPR. For this the consultant company will be given a maximum time of 30 months. That means till 2027 but the primary plan will have to be given within three months only. On which we will prepare a report and send it to the government.

Actually this will be a think tank of sorts. In which the officials of four places and the consultant company will study only on how to provide better connectivity to Delhi and make this region jam-free for the next 50 years. Whatever suggestions come, they will be included in the company plan and the work of making it will be done by the concerned authority. Let us tell you that recently a detailed meeting regarding this plan was held in a hotel in Noida. First of all, the consultant company will talk to the planning cells of the local authorities of the three cities and after visiting them, prepare a brief of urban and rural areas. In which location, land area, road network, regional economic, structure availability will be included. Collecting all types of data analysis reports which include social environment, number of registered vehicles and transport network, urban transport rules, regional transport policy, national and state rules, road accidents, land use, maps. After this a primary survey plan will be prepared. After this, this survey plan will be discussed with stakeholders, public and others. A detailed survey will be done in which ground report will be done taking the data of number of buildings constructed here, traffic, speed on the road, parking, pedestrians etc. It will be prepared in terms of time, cost, comfort, safety and security. An important point here will also be related to pollution. For this, data of diesel, petrol, LPG and electric will be collected and checked as to how much its impact will increase or decrease as per the plan.

There is a provision to run e-bus in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna area. This will be included in the mobility plan itself. This will require separate infrastructure. Which includes admin block, charging station, depot, workshop etc. The final draft will be prepared including road network, inter-connectivity, parking availability and its types, public transport system, paratransit system, traffic load on roads, traffic safety. This final draft will be placed before the committee constituted by the company. Work on this will start once it is approved by the board.
