During MetaConnect 2024, Mark Zuckerberg gave a demo of Orion smart glasses and people were surprised. This is a standalone smart glass. There are no wires attached to it and its weight is less than 100 grams.
Orion looks like normal glasses and has a holographic display. The company has launched fully holographic Augmented Reality (AR) glasses for the first time.
Mark Zuckerberg has said that Orion Glass has a special display and it is built on a new architecture. Small projectors have been provided in it. For this, sensors made of nanoscale components and custom silicon have been provided.
Orion glasses can be controlled by voice. It has been integrated with Artificial Intelligence and has been provided with Neural Interface in the company's wrist based Neural Interface.
