George Munsey of Harare Bolts created history, scored the first century of Zimbabwe Afro T10

HarareHarare: Scotland's George Munsey has been in great form in the second season of the ongoing Jim Afro T10 and the Scotsman scored the first century in the history of the Jim Afro T10. Batting against Durban Wolves, Harare Bolts' Munsey scored an unbeaten 100 off 38 balls at a strike rate of 263.16, hitting ten maximums and six fours. Munsey scored a century on the sixth day of Zimbabwe's Season 2, which is being played at the beautiful Harare Sports Club. Munsey's century also helped Harare Bolts rewrite the record books as Harare Bolts scored a total of 173/2 in 10 overs. Earlier in the tournament, the left-handed batsman started his campaign against Cape Town Samp Army in the first match. He scored an unbeaten 33 runs on 13 balls.

In the second game, also against Durban Wolves, Munsey scored 37 runs from 18 balls, which he followed with 10 runs from 5 balls in his third game against Jo'burg Bangla Tigers. Then, against Bulawayo Brave Jaguars, the game in which David Warner made his Zim Afro T10 debut, Munsey was out for 1. Next, they faced NYS Lagos, and Munsey scored 13 runs from 7 balls before facing Durban Wolves in his sixth game of the tournament. 31-year-old top-order batsman Zim Afro has been one of the best batsmen in T10, and is familiar with the attacking approach. In his T20 career too, Munsey has scored a lot of runs, hitting 4 centuries in less than 160 games. Bolts beat Durban Wolves by 54 runs. (ANI)
