MG Comet EV | Range of 230 Km will be available on single charge, more than 100 voice command features, price Rs 4.99 lakh
MG Comet EV The company has the smallest and cheapest electric car, Comet EV, which is now priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (without battery). The ex-showroom price of Comet EV with battery starts at Rs 6.99 lakh. MG Motor India has launched a special 'Battery as a Service' programme, i.e. battery subscription program under which the Comet EV will have to pay battery rental per km with a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh. Under the program, consumers may change their minds about electric vehicles as the difference between gasoline and EVs is no longer much.
Range of 230 Km on single charge
Comet EV is equipped with a 17.3kWh lithium-ion battery and its electric motor generates 42 PS of power and 110Nm of torque. This car offers a range of 230 Km on a single charge. Its battery takes about 7 hours to charge with a 3.3kW charger, while its battery gets charged up to 80% in 5 hours. But it does not come with fast charging which is a bit disappointing.
Over 100 voice command features
Talking about the features, Comet EV is a pure electric car based on the GSEV platform. It has more than 55 connected car features and more than 100 voice commands. Comet is less than 3 meters long.
