Dwayne Bravo Joins KKR As Their New Mentor: CEO Welcomes

Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore wrote on X that Bravo will be ‘will be involved with all our other franchises around the world – CPL, MLC & ILT20’.

“DJ Bravo joining us is a very exciting development. His deep desire to win wherever he plays, his extensive experience and knowledge will benefit the franchise and all players immensely. We are also very pleased that he will be involved with all our other franchises around the world – CPL, MLC & ILT20”

Bravo also spoke on a video, which is published by the franchise on the Twitter handle.

“Having played for and against the Knight Riders in various leagues, I have a lot of respect for how they operate. The owners’ passion, the professionalism of the management, and the family-like environment make it a special place. This is the perfect platform for me as I transition from playing to mentoring and coaching the next generation of players,” said DJ Bravo.

Dwayne Bravo is a great champion in the shortest format of cricket and has won 17 titles in it across his illustrious career. Out of the 5 Trophies he won in the Caribbean Premier League, 3 were with the Trinbago Knight Riders, a team owned by the Knight Riders franchise. Having said that, the player has never played in IPL for the franchise. Bravo’s IPL journey was with Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Gujarat Lions.

Bravo also has 2 T20 World Cup titles, which he won in 2012 and 2016 with the West Indies, in his bag. He also worked with the Chennai Super Kings as their bowling coach. When the player recently announced his retirement from CPL, that’s how Knight Riders went and snatched him.
