Porter becomes youngest player to make Arsenal's starting XI

Goalkeeper Jack Port became the youngest player to feature in Arsenal Football Club's starting eleven. He achieved the feat at the age of 16 against Bolton Wanderers in the English League Cup on Wednesday.

In this match, thanks to two goals from midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, Arsenal won 5-1 over Bolton.

Porter broke into the starting eleven at the age of 16 years, 72 days, surpassing the record of 16 years, 177 days held by the legendary Cesc Fabregas (debut in 2003).

The Arsenal club said Porter was selected to replace first-choice David Raya, who was sidelined with a thigh injury.

Porter is an England under-17 international. He came on the field as a substitute player for Arsenal in the match against Manchester City on Sunday.
