Not only this, if someone parks a vehicle without a permit, he will be charged three times the fee. At present, complete details regarding suggestions, objections and disposal of this proposal have been sought from the concerned department. After getting approval from the cabinet, the new parking policy will be implemented in the Municipal Corporation.

It is being told that due to lack of clear policy in the state, parking tenders are raised arbitrarily, which has resulted in flood of illegal parking in the burning cities. CM Yogi Adityanath had recently directed the Urban Development Department to bring a policy for planned parking, after which now the Urban Development is coming up with a new parking policy.

Consideration can also be given to handing over the parking developed by the Municipal Corporation to private hands. Big companies will also be able to submit their tenders for parking contracts in municipal corporations (big cities).

After taking permission from the Municipal Corporation, the contractor will charge for parking constructed near railway stations, bus stands, offices, colleges, hostels, commercial buildings etc. Multi-level car parking facility will also be developed under the scheme.
