When I said that Jaishankar has resolved 75% of the issues on China border dispute

Latest News :- Foreign Minister Jaishankar said, “My statement that 75 percent of the tension on the border issue with China has been resolved only means that the country's army has withdrawn from eastern Ladakh. Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar addressed the Asia Society Policy Institute in New York. Then he said: Our history with China has been very difficult. We have seen China deploying more troops along the Line of Control amid the spread of Corona virus despite our clear agreements with China. This creates a risk that creates an opportunity for an accident to occur, and it did. Clashes took place near the Line of Control. Many soldiers from both sides were killed. This caused a rift in bilateral relations.

My statement that the border issues with China have been 75 percent resolved only means that troops have been withdrawn from the eastern Ladakh border. That's part of the problem. Thus, large numbers of troops can be removed from conflict areas. However, some patrolling issues require attention. The next step is to stop border expansion.

I think India-China relations are very important for the future of Asia. If the world is multipolar then Asia is also multipolar. Therefore, this relationship will affect not only the future of Asia but also the future of the world. We have been following the ASEAN-centric 'Act East Policy' for a long time. Over the past decade we have seen this move beyond ASEAN. The success of the 'Act East Policy' was to make the Indo-Pacific a strategic issue. The Foreign Minister said this. It is significant that Jaishankar's clarification comes as he had said earlier this month that India has made progress in the India-China border talks and 75 per cent of the issues have been resolved.
