In fact, seeing the increasing crowd in trains during the festival, Railways has started preparations to run more than 10 thousand special trains across the country. In this, a decision has also been taken to increase general coaches in more than 100 trains. With this step of Railways, passengers traveling during festivals will get increased relief and will be able to travel easily.

If media reports are to be believed, Railways is preparing to increase general coaches in about 108 trains. This step of Railways will make it easier for passengers to travel. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav says that approval has been given to operate 12,500 special trains during Diwali and Chhath Puja. Additionally, 5,975 trains have been notified in 2024-2025. According to Railways, this will provide facility to more than 1 crore passengers to go home during the Diwali and Chhath Puja rush. The number of puja special trains in the years 2023 and 2024 was 4,429.

In fact, during Diwali and Chhath, workers go to their homes in different corners of the country. Due to this, crowding in trains increases and people have to face problems. In view of this, Railways has taken this big step. With the help of special trains, passengers will be able to reach their destination easily.
