Pakistan News: The government of Pakistan's Punjab province has decided to ban social media platforms YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok from July 13 to 18 with an aim to control 'hate content' during Muharram.

Earlier, the Punjab state government had banned 'X' (earlier Twitter) for more than 4 months. According to the notification issued by the Punjab government late on Thursday night, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's Cabinet Committee on Law and Order has recommended imposing this ban on the state with a population of 12 crores.
