Cleverness from BCCI will prove costly in IPL, action will be taken against these players; New rules issued

BCCI New Rules For IPL Auction: Before the mega auction of IPL 2025, BCCI has implemented new retention rules. The special thing is that some foreign players may suffer losses due to these rules. Till now many foreign players used to stay away from mega auction, because more players are bought in it and the money bid is less. At the same time, he used to get huge amount in mini auction. The franchises were upset with this situation, but BCCI has now taken strict action on this.

Foreign players show more interest in mini auctions than mega auctions. Because the bidding is higher in mini auction. But under the new rules, it will now be difficult for players to avoid the mega auction. BCCI will take action against those who do this. Franchises will get relief from these new rules. Who had to face trouble due to sudden withdrawal of players.

Now it is mandatory to participate in mega auction

BCCI has clarified that players who do not participate in the mega auction will also not be able to participate in the upcoming mini auction. This means that now players will not be able to earn more money just by participating in the mini auction as per their wish. If players want to appear in the mini auction, they will have to first include their names in the mega auction.

Two year ban if lifted after auction

In the last few seasons, it has been seen that many players withdraw from the league after being bought in the auction. Especially when they get less money than expected. This causes problems to the franchises, because they make the team according to their plan. Now if any player withdraws from the league after the auction, he will be banned from playing in IPL for two years.

Big bid on Starc and Cummins

In the mini auction of IPL 2024, bids of more than Rs 20 crore were made on Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. Starc did not play in the IPL for the last few seasons but he won a huge amount by participating in the mini auction. However, in the mega auction, the biggest players get only Rs 12-14 crores. After the new rules of BCCI, players will no longer be able to participate in the auction as per their wish.
