According to the information, there has been a huge rise in the water level in Kamla Balan during the last 24 hours. This surge has been increasing rapidly since Saturday morning. By 11 o'clock in the day, the water level in the river had risen to 52 meters, which is two meters more than the danger level of 50 meters. The water in the river is continuously increasing. Due to which the pressure on the road bridge of Jhanjharpur has increased. Almost all the pillars of the bridge have sunk. If the water in the river continues to rise like this, it will touch the girder of the bridge by late evening. The flow of water under the bridge is very fast. Which will reduce after touching the gadhar. Then the water will start freezing north of the bridge and will cause great danger to the sensitive areas of the embankment. In view of the rapidly increasing water level in the river, the team of engineers from the flood control department has started continuous monitoring of the embankment since night. Preparations for flood fighting were also intensified at every sensitive point. Is. Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar, Executive Engineer of Flood Control Division 1, said that at present the embankment is completely safe and strict monitoring is being maintained at sensitive places.

According to information received from Supaul, the water level of Kosi river is increasing drastically. At 10 am on Saturday, 4,80,495 cusecs discharge has been recorded which is in increasing order. All 56 gates of Kosi Barrage have been opened. Supaul DM Kaushal Kumar inspected the embankment and directed the engineer to remain in the area and prepare for emergency. DM said that the flood shelter site is also being organized. An officer has been sent and instructed to make arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water and lighting.

Efforts are being made to evacuate people from inside the embankment. Boat arrangements have been made for this. People are being made aware by miking. He said that at present the situation is under control. However, due to the continuously rising water level, a line of worry is clearly visible on everyone's face.
