Jammu and Kashmir: 4 army personnel including 1 ASP injured in Kulgam encounter, 2-3 terrorists may be hiding

Kulgam: On one hand, the encounter between security forces and terrorists is still going on since Saturday morning in Adigam Devsar area of ​​Kulgam in Kashmir. So far, 4 army soldiers and Kulgam ASP have been injured in this encounter. At present, all five have been shifted to Srinagar for treatment. There is also a suspicion that two-three terrorists are hiding in Adigam Devsar area.

In this regard, Kashmir Zone Police, while giving information about the encounter through a post on Meanwhile, the terrorists opened fire on them, after which an encounter started.

The security personnel injured in this encounter in Kulgam have been admitted to 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar for treatment. The injured have been identified as ASP Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, constable Mohan Sharma, constable Sohan Kumar, constable Yoginder and Mohammad Isran.

On the incident, police said that security forces had cordoned off Adigam village of Devsar area and started a search operation and during this time an encounter started between them and the terrorists. Police said Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Mumtaz Ali sustained minor injuries after being shot near the encounter site. Four security personnel have been injured in the ongoing operation against terrorists.

On Friday, September 27, the police had arrested 6 associates of terrorists along with arms and ammunition in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the police, pistols, grenades, IEDs and other explosives were also provided to these youths. It was also reported that a Pakistan resident terrorist had identified several youths with the help of a jailed OGW, who were in Awantipora and Kulgam districts. were inspired to join the terrorist ranks in the Tral area.
