The actor also spoke about how he struggled to find success in Bollywood. He mentioned that if actors work hard, they will surely get acknowledgment for their work. He added, “I just think that hard days are part of life. I don’t look at them and feel, oh my God, I went through that period. I don’t know. I can’t speak about that film because I really can’t right now at this moment. It’s a journey, and every person goes through it. If you work hard, there comes a day when you get some kind of acknowledgment.”

Deol attended the 2024 IIFA Award with his wife, Tanya. He thanked the audience for the love showered on him for his role in Animal and he fought back tears as he gave the speech. He also performed the Jamal Kudu step on the stage. The 2024 IIFA Awards will conclude on September 29 with a live performance by artists such as Honey Singh and Shilpa Rao among others.
