Jay Shah inaugurates BCCI Center of Excellence, now name will be BCE not NCA

Sports Desk, Obnews: A good news has come out regarding Indian cricket on Sunday (29 September). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given a new gift to the players by inaugurating its new National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Along with this, BCCI has made another big announcement. The board has also changed the name of NCA from now on. NCA will now be known as BCCI Center of Excellence (BCE).

This new NCA will have many hi-tech facilities. Spread over 40 acres, BCE has been designed to nurture cricket talent and be a hub for growing the game. BSE has a total of 3 grounds and 86 pitches, both indoor and outdoor. This will be a great step for Indian cricket. What are the special features of this new Center of Excellence? This Center of Excellence has 3 world class cricket grounds. The drainage system of all these grounds is also amazing.

BCCI has given information about this academy by sharing a video. It is told that there is a main ground here, Ground-A, which is 85 yards. This Ground-A has 13 pitches made of red soil in Mumbai. This ground can host day-night matches under flood lights. Ground-B and C are 75-yard practice grounds, with 11 Mandya clay pitches and 9 black cotton clay pitches from Kalahandi, Odisha. Talking about the infrastructure of more than 240 acres with many facilities, it has more than 240 rooms including a 16000 square feet gym, open air theatre.

Apart from this there are 45 outdoor net pitches for practice. The world-class indoor practice facility features 8 pitches featuring premium turf from England and Australia. The hi-tech Sports Science and Medicine Block also has Physiotherapy Rehab Gym, Medicine Lab with latest technology, Recovery Area, Steam Bath, Underwater Pool Spa and Cold Shower Area. A meeting room with 80 seats, coach area and swimming pool of 25*12 meter area are also part of it.
