Ajit Agarkar faces heat for snubbing 2 in-form Indian stars from Bangladesh T20Is

The BCCI announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming 3-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home which will commence from October 6 following the conclusion of the Test series. The absence of some of the performing stars from the team, particularly Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, saw fans vent their anger on social media, taking a swipe at selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar for the decision.

Ruturaj has been one the most consistent performers in the shortest format among the emerging stars. His consistency also saw his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings make him the successor of MS Dhoni as skipper. But, for the Indian team, he continues to be snubbed.

Ishan, on the other hand, scored a ton in both the Buchi Babu tournament and Duleep Trophy, giving the perfect example of his intent. But, he still remains out of the selectors’ plans.

India’s squad for 3 T20Is against Bangladesh: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav.
