The biggest disaster ever due to flood in Nepal, more than 112 died, chaos in North Bihar too

Desk: It has been raining heavily in Nepal for the last two days. Many areas of Nepal including the capital Kathmandu are submerged in flood water. So far, more than 112 people have died and 67 people have gone missing. All schools in the affected areas have been closed. In Kathmandu alone, 37 people have died due to rain and landslides. 40 lakh people are affected by floods.

Flood in Bihar due to heavy rains in Nepal, water rose on the bridge of Kosi Barrage, 6,61,295 cusecs of water was released on Sunday morning, which is the highest since 1968.
13 districts of Bihar have been badly affected by the floods in Nepal. However, the water level of Kosi river has decreased compared to Saturday night. Water is flowing from under the Kosi Barrage road bridge. Movement of common people is closed on the barrage and people are coming to take photos and videos. Due to flood, water has entered Valmiki Nagar Airport, runway and helipad have been submerged.

On the flood situation in the Kosi river area, JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “The Chief Minister is constantly monitoring the situation. There has been a lot of rain in Nepal. It never rained so much after 1968. More than 6 lakh cusecs of water has come out from Kosi and almost the same amount of water has come out from Gandak. We have never seen so much water. This is a natural disaster. The embankments are safe, but the people living inside the dam are facing problems. They are being taken to safe places. The administration is working. It has been our constant endeavor that there should be a permanent solution to this.”
