Sonam Kapoor opens up about childhood PCOS struggle
Actress Sonam Kapoor, the daughter of Bollywood film industry actors Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, revealed that she suffered from ‘PCOS’ polycystic ovary syndrome in her youth.

Yes, according to the actress, during her childhood, she faced rude and harsh comments because of her facial hair.
In an interview recently, Sonam recalled the moments in her life when she faced her struggles with PCOS.
According to the actress, ‘I had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as a child and due to this I faced hormonal problems.’
“I started gaining weight at 16, and that’s the age when you’re considered the most beautiful,” Sonam Kapoor said. But in the meantime, I got hair on my face and I was full of pimples.
The actress said, “That was the time when people made nasty comments about me and people used to make fun of me by calling me ‘Anil Kapoor’s daughter’.”
Sonam added that her mother then showed her a picture of Kajol, who never cleaned her ‘unibrow’ and was the biggest actress of that time. This proved impressive to Sonam and instilled confidence in her.
Talking about Sonam Kapoor’s film journey, when Sonam was just 17 years old, she was chosen by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she worked as an assistant director in the film ‘Black’ in 2005 and then in 2007 Bhansali’s film ‘ Started acting with ‘Sawarya’.
Talking about married life, Sonam Kapoor married businessman Anand Ahuja on 8 May 2018, after which the couple welcomed their first child in March 2022, and their son was born on 20 August 2022.
After the birth of her son, actress Sonam took a break from films and moved to London. She now divides her time between India and the UK.
