Voting for all 288 seats of the Maharashtra Assembly took place on 20 November.
66.05 percent voting took place in Maharashtra, with the lowest turnout in Mumbai city and the highest in Gadchiroli.
Key battles: The ruling grand alliance of Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar camp) led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, with the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance comprising Congress and breakaway factions of Shiv Sena and NCP. Is in competition.
Majority figure in Maharashtra: The total number of seats in Maharashtra Assembly is 288, to form the government in the state, any party or alliance will have to reach the majority figure of 145.
