Before Delhi Assembly elections, BJP gave important responsibility to Kailash Gehlot
Kailash Gehlot, a prominent leader of Aam Aadmi Party, has been appointed a member of the Delhi Assembly Election Coordination Committee as soon as he joined BJP. Recently, he met BJP state president JP Nadda and discussed ways to strengthen BJP in the assembly elections. After joining BJP, former Delhi Minister Kailash Gehlot said on Tuesday that becoming a member of Delhi Assembly Election Coordination Committee was a very difficult decision for him, but it was necessary.
Gehlot, who has been representing the Jat-dominated Najafgarh constituency since 2015, said, “I gave 10 years to AAP. This decision was not easy for me. It was very emotional. “It was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, but I believe it was the best.”
Gehlot also rejected the allegations of AAP leaders that he had changed sides under pressure from central agencies. He said people don't think before speaking, at least they should see how many income tax orders are pending against me and what was found during the search of my house: nothing. I gave you ten years and this decision was very emotional for me and whatever happened, happened for good and now I will work to strengthen the BJP. I believe in fighting my own battles.
