Ingredients to make Methi Matar Malai
Peas – one and a half cups
Methi bhaji – 2 cups
Fresh cream – 3-4 tbsp
Onion – 1
Garlic cloves – 3-4
Green chilli – 1
Cashews – 2 tbsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Ginger chopped – 1 tsp
Green cardamom – 1
Milk – 1/2 cup
Oil – 2-3 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Methi Matar Malai

To make fenugreek pea cream, first clean the fenugreek leaves and wash them thoroughly. After this, pluck the leaves and separate the stalks. Then chop onion and green chilli finely. Now add 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
When the oil becomes hot, add finely chopped onion, cardamom and cinnamon and fry. Fry the onion until it becomes soft and its color becomes light pink. When the color of onion turns light pink, add finely chopped garlic, ginger, green chilli and cashew nuts and mix.
After this, fry everything while stirring for 2 minutes. After this turn off the gas. When the mixture cools down, put it in a mixer grounder and grind it and prepare a fine paste. While making the paste, water can also be mixed as per requirement.
Now add 2 tsp oil in another pan and heat it. After the oil is hot, add the prepared paste into it. Fry the paste while stirring until its oil separates. After this, add chopped fenugreek leaves to it and let it cook for 2-3 minutes more.
After this, add peas and salt as per taste to the vegetable and mix it with the help of a ladle. Fry this mixture for 2 to 3 minutes. After this, add half cup milk and half cup water and mix with a ladle. Now cook the vegetable until the mixture becomes thick. After this turn off the gas. The flavourful Methi Matar Malai vegetable is ready. Serve it with roti, naan or paratha.
