BJP's Ramveer Singh has won here. He has defeated Haji Rizwan of SP. About 60 percent of the voters in Kundarki assembly constituency are Muslims. In such a situation, the victory of BJP candidate is being considered shocking.

Political pundits are saying that Ramveer Singh's Muslim card is the reason behind this. During the election campaign, Ramveer roamed around in Muslim settlements wearing a netted cap. Talked about their rights, listened to their problems. It is believed that the result of this is that BJP has won here after 31 years. BJP could not penetrate SP's stronghold in Sisamau: Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur was very much discussed in the by-election. The reason for this was that only Samajwadi Party had been hoisting the victory flag here continuously for 28 years.

It has been decided to realize its strength through backward and Dalit candidates. A Brahmin was made the candidate from Sisamau assembly seat of Kanpur. Similarly, BJP has made a Brahmin from Ghaziabad in the general category and Kshatriya Ramveer Singh Thakur from Kundarki assembly seat. For the Majhwan by-election, BJP has made former MLA List Smita Maurya, a woman candidate from the previous category, its candidate. This time, BJP has played the Yadav card in response to SP from Karhal assembly seat of Mainpuri, the stronghold of Samajwadi Party. BJP has given ticket to Anujesh Yadav from here. Anujesh Yadav is the brother-in-law of Dharmendra Yadav. Anujesh is the uncle of SP candidate from this seat, Tej Pratap.
