Late Friday evening, unknown assailants killed and seriously injured the representative of a former MLA near Khetasarai Gorari village. With the help of local people, the injured were admitted to Primary Health Center Sondhi.
Khurshid Anwar Khan, former representative of former MLA Nadeem Javed, resident of Parakamal village, was leaving his home village Parakamal with his friend Mukesh Pandey in the evening and was going to Khetasarai by bike when bike-borne assailants beat him to death with an iron rod near the railway crossing in Gorari village. They somehow broke their arms and legs and ran away half dead.
With the help of local people, the injured was taken to Habib Hospital of the city, where seeing the serious condition, the doctor gave first aid and referred him to the district hospital after PHC Sondhi.
Khurshid Anwar Kha has said in his statement that the associates of former MLA Nadeem Javed opened fire with the intention of killing him and when the bullet missed, they attacked him and ran away, breaking his arms and legs.
