Fans shocked as AR Rahman uses #arrsairabreakup hashtag for divorce post- The Week

After Saira Banu’s lawyer issued a statement regarding her divorce with AR Rahman, the musician took to X to pen a heartrending post.

In the post with that was accompanied with the hashtag, #arrsairabreakup, Rahman wrote that the couple hoped to complete their 30th wedding anniversary.

“But all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again,” he wrote.

Thanking everyone, he expresses his gratitude for their kindness and respecting the family’s privacy.

However, Rahman’s use of the hashtag, #arrsairabreakup, drew mixed responses from the followers.

One fan urged the musician to fire his admin, saying, “Who creates hashtag for this situation? Fire your admin, thalaiva.” Another wrote, “Hashtag ( #arrsairaabreakup ) for a divorce post”.

With a laughing emoji, one user wrote, “Better Separate than Toxic. But that hashtag”.
