New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir Staff Selection Board has released the JKSSB Sub Inspector recruitment 2024 official notification. As per the schedule, the JKSSB SI recruitment 2024 application process will commence on December 3. The last date to apply for the SI post is January 2, 2025.
Through this JKSSB recruitment drive, 669 Sub Inspector vacancies in the Jammu and Kashmir Police will be filled. The JK Police SI recruitment application link will be available on the official website, jkssb.nic.in.
The JKSSB SI recruitment application fee is Rs 700. For the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) -1, ST-2 and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates the application fee is Rs 600.
JKSSB SI Recruitment 2024 eligibility requirements
Those who fulfil the below requirements can apply for the SI post at Jammu and Kashmir Police-
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute is necessary.
- Candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and have a certificate issued on or before January 2, 2025, as proof.
- The age of the candidates must be between 18 to 28 years.
- For in-service personnel, the age limit is 18 to 30 years as of January 1, 2024.
- Candidates also need to meet physical standard requirements, the details of which are available in the official notification.
As per the SI recruitment selection process, candidates will have to appear in a written examination, physical standard test and physical endurance test.
JKSSB recruitment exam pattern
The written exam will have only objective-type multiple-choice questions. The paper will be only in the English language. For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) ‘C’ certificate holders candidates will get 5 per cent bonus marks, while the NCC ‘B’ certificate holders will get 3 per cent bonus marks and the ‘A’ certificate holders will get 2 per cent bonus marks.
