Mumbai: Actress and social media sensation Shehnaaz Gill has announced that she has started shooting for her Punjabi film and tagged it as a “new journey”. Shehnaaz shared a picture on her Instagram, in which she is holding the clapboard of the film directed by Amarjeet Saron.

In one of the pictures, the actress along with her “dream team” is seen performing puja on the sets before the shoot. She wrote: “Starting a new journey today and extremely proud and happy to announce that today we start shooting our Punjabi film with our dream team.”
The director of this yet untitled film is known for making films like “Hausla Rakh”, “Saunkan Saunkne”, “Kala Shah Kala”, “Jhalle”, “Babe Bhangra Pounde Ne”. Shehnaaz was recently seen in the modern version of the track 'Sajna Ve Sajna' from the film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video'.
The song was originally from the 2003 film “Chameli” starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rahul Bose. Its new version stars Shehnaaz and Rajkummar Rao. It is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, who sang the original track, and Divya Kumar. Shehnaaz rose to stardom after her stint in “Bigg Boss 13”. Her chemistry with the winner and late star Sidharth Shukla caught everyone's attention. Together they were affectionately called “Sidnaaz”.
