Threatened to take revenge from BCCI, Pakistan asked for hybrid model from ICC
Champions Trophy controversy: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is going to host the Champions Trophy next year, but the dispute between BCCI and PCB regarding the organization of this tournament is not ending. To resolve this matter, ICC has called a meeting between the two boards. A virtual meeting has been held. It is expected that ICC will put pressure on Pakistan to organize the tournament in hybrid model.
Meanwhile, PCB has now given a new threat. It has said that if the Champions Trophy is organized in the hybrid model, then Pakistan will also make a similar demand against India in the next tournaments.
Pakistan's revenge
After the Champions Trophy, two big tournaments are to be held in India – Women's ODI World Cup in India in 2026 and Men's T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka. PCB says that if the Champions Trophy is held in hybrid model then it will be the Women's ODI World Cup against India. Pakistan will not send its team to India and the T20 World Cup matches to be held in 2026 will be played in Sri Lanka and not in India.
His demand for hybrid model
PCB says that if its demand for hybrid model is not met, it can withdraw its name. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had recently said in a press conference that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan, then Pakistan Will also not allow the Indian team to come to India.
BCCI's reaction
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has also reacted regarding the Champions Trophy. He said, "ICC Champions Trophy is being considered in a hybrid model, and there are other options too. For us, the safety of Indian players comes first, and the decision will be taken on this basis. When everything is decided, then we will inform you. ."
