Vietnam gold price went up Friday afternoon as global rates increased.

Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price rose 0.47% to VND85.8 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Gold ring price gained 0.36% to VND84.7 million per tael.

Globally gold prices rose, supported by a dip in the dollar and rising geopolitical tensions, but remained set for their biggest monthly decline in more than a year following Donald Trump’s U.S. election victory, Reuters reported.

Spot gold was up 0.8% at $2,661.14 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures also gained 0.8% to $2,660.80.
