Forest Land Encroachment: The government is making a lot of efforts to remove encroachment in the forests of Uttarakhand. For this, a large-scale campaign is being run for the last one year. During this period, the administration has identified and demolished a large number of encroachments. But, there is a possibility of encroachment again in the forest areas adjacent to the residential areas. In view of this, the Forest Department is going to build a wall on its land. So that the forest department can save its forests.
It will cost this much rupees
According to the information, walls will be constructed in various ranges of Dehradun Forest Division at a cost of about Rs 2 crore. Which will be completed next month i.e. December. Let us tell you that the Forest Department is running a campaign to remove encroachment from forest land in the entire state. For which the department has been taking action on a large scale for the last one year.

During this period, the department also took action against many illegally constructed religious places and removed them. However, during this period, the campaign was halted for the last several months due to monsoon and court case. But, it was reviewed last month. After that, a plan has also been made to remove the remaining encroachment.
DFO asked for details of cases pending in court
Let us tell you that along with this, details of the cases going on in the court against the removal of encroachments in their divisions have also been sought from all the DFOs. So that they can be disposed of as soon as possible. Also, the action being taken against encroachment can be completed. Along with this, construction of wall has also been taken up on the forest land in the areas that have been freed from encroachment.

Department issued tender
Meanwhile, Dehradun Forest Division has also given tender to build walls in many areas. Which includes Malhan, Jhajhra, Asharodi, Thano and Lachhiwala. Where the place has been marked for wall construction. Work on which will start in the next one month. Mussoorie Forest Division has also started action on this.

Where will the wall be built and at what cost?
The wall will be constructed in Dehradun Forest Division at a total cost of Rs 1.99 crore. Whereas in Kalyanpur room number two, Kaluwala room number two A, Karbari room number one B, a wall will be built at a total cost of Rs 37 lakh. Whereas in Kandoli room number 11 and 13 and Jhajhra room number one, a wall will be built in the forest area at a cost of Rs 32 lakh.
Whereas in Arcadia room number three, Karbari room number three and five, the wall will be constructed at a cost of Rs 70 lakh. Whereas a wall will be built on the border of Dhanyadi village of Bhopalpani at a cost of Rs 44 lakh and in Lachhiwala range at a cost of Rs 16 lakh.
