Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday praised America's newly elected President Donald Trump. He praised Trump as an experienced and intelligent politician. He also said that he does not believe that he is safe after the deadly attack on Trump.

In a separate incident in September, a man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly positioning himself with a rifle at Trump's Florida golf course. Speaking to journalists in Kazakhstan after the summit, Putin said he was shocked by the way the US election campaign had unfolded.
Putin called Trump intelligent
Putin further cited the absolutely crude methods used in the fight against Trump, including an assassination attempt and more than once. “Well, in my opinion, they are no longer safe,” Putin said. Unfortunately, many incidents have occurred in the history of the United States. I think Trump is intelligent and I hope he's cautious and understands this.
Condemned the attacks on Trump
Putin, who himself is largely safe, said he was further shocked by how Trump's family and children were criticized by political opponents during the US election campaign. He called such behavior rebellious and said that in Russia even bandits would not resort to such methods.

Speaking about the Biden administration's decision to escalate the war in Ukraine, Putin speculated that it was an attempt to help Trump by giving him something to back up, allowing Kiev to attack Russia with Western missiles. Could be a ploy or a way to make their life more difficult with Russia.
