Passenger from Riyadh arrested at IGI Airport, 1,321 grams of gold recovered, investigation started
An Indian traveler who came from Riyadh via Kuwait has been arrested on charges of gold smuggling. Gold worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from him. This accused was arrested by the authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport. This incident is of 28 November 2024.

Ispat has been informed by the officials that this accused had come from Riyadh and landed at Delhi airport via Kuwait. Seeing some suggestive actions among the accused, the officers took him to the AIU room. When the investigation was done there, the officers were shocked because the accused had hidden the gold in paste form inside his underwear.
1,321 grams of yellow metal paste which is gold has been recovered from the accused. The accused has been arrested and investigation has been started. It is important to know that entry into any country with gold is allowed only within a certain limit. If this does not happen, the accused are immediately arrested and investigation is started.
