The incidents of atrocities on Hindus have increased since the political upheaval in Bangladesh in August. Since Sheikh Hasina left the country, 200 Hindu temples have been targeted so far. It is noteworthy that Sheikh Hasina has just taken refuge in India. He had also criticized the government in the Chinmoy Krishna Das case.
Chinmay Krishna Das, associated with ISKCON, was recently arrested by Bangladesh's secret police on charges of treason. Which is being opposed by Hindus. Chinmoy Das was produced in the Chittagong court the next day, where the court refused to grant him bail. During this time, Bangladesh Police had used tear gas shells and rubber bullets on Hindus protesting demanding the release of Chinmay. After this incident, Hindus are being continuously targeted.
