If VIP sticker is placed on the vehicle then FIR will be registered. Vehicle confiscation started.
Varanasi, which is the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has always been known for VIP movement. Recently, a case came to light which exposed the vigilance of the police and their attempts to become fake VIPs. On Thursday, during police checking on the Lahartara-Phulwaria overbridge, a luxury vehicle came into view of the police with 'VIP' and 'MLA' written in big letters on its front windshield. The strangest thing was that there was no number plate on this vehicle.
Police officers, sensing suspicious activity in the vehicle, took out the people sitting inside and started questioning. Initially all three tried to overpower the police but after the strict attitude of the officers, they had to bow down. During investigation, these people identified themselves as Himanshu Ranjan, Ankit Yadav, resident of Ghazipur and Abhijeet Kumar, resident of Chandauli district.
During further investigation, these people claimed that they had put this VIP-sticker to avoid the police and toll plaza. On searching the vehicle, a fake 'Vidhan Sabha Pass' was recovered, in which the name of the Assembly Secretariat, Uttar Pradesh and the vehicle number were mentioned. Driver Himanshu Ranjan could not even show valid documents of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the police also revealed that the real owner of this vehicle is Sujit Jaiswal, resident of Bhadohi. The accused told that they had bought this car second hand. Showing promptness, the police arrested all three, registered an FIR against them and seized the car.
