.Korba/Chhattisgarh State Women's Commission Chairperson Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak and member Sarla Kosaria Lakshmi Verma held a public hearing on 24 cases related to women's harassment presented in the District Panchayat assembly hall today under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Mahila Commission's Chairperson Dr. Kiranmoyee Nayak. The Commission took this matter into suo motu cognizance on the collective proposal of the journalists of the district and a copy of the order sheets of the suo motu cognizance. It was given to Collector Korba and it was also said that in this, two members of the State Women Commission, Sarla Kosaria and Lakshmi Verma, will set up a camp and the complaint applications of the victimized women will be taken at the Korba headquarters. Arrangements for which will be made by Collector Korba, the Collector assured that he will cooperate with the administrative system by taking permission from the government. In one case during the hearing, the applicant's son died and Anavedika is his widow. The applicant has a 4 year old son.

After the death of the applicant's son, Anavedika got her husband's job. A written agreement has also been made between both the parties that the applicant will be able to meet her grandson. After explaining to both the parties, the applicant accepted before the Commission to send her son to his grandparents two days a week on Saturday and Sunday. There will be no dispute between the two parties on this matter. On the advice of the Women's Commission, both the families will remain united. The case was registered in the Commission with the instructions that Sakhi Center will monitor it for 01 year. In the other case, the High Court was filed by the non-applicant number 1. The order of Bilaspur was presented to the Commission on 5.5.2023. In which the non-applicant is given BRC. Had sought a postponement of being removed from the post and sent elsewhere. But the High Court did not give him any stay but only ordered status quo. That means the non-applicant cannot get any benefit in this matter. But in this matter, the applicant has appeared before the Hon'ble High Court through her advocate and the internal complaint committee has not yet taken action on the applicant's complaint, this is confirmed by the letter dated 27.11.2024 from the District Education Officer, Korba.

Till now the investigation on the complaint of the applicant against non-applicant number 1 O 2 is incomplete. In such a situation, the Commission advises the applicant to accept all these points. During the hearing, the non-applicant presented a stamp of Rs 100/- and it is of 2023 whereas this is a sale agreement and its time period has expired. And on the basis of this they are trying to threaten the applicant. In this entire matter, a letter will be sent to Collector Korba that he will send S.D. M. along with Tehsildar, 0 R.I., 2 Patwari, inspect the site, conduct demarcation proceedings and send your report to the Commission within 3 months and register a criminal case against the non-applicant. And inform the Commission that further action will be taken after the report and non-applicant numbers 1 and 2 should be presented in the upcoming hearing through police station shift.
