The accused had murdered a girl and raped her dead body for hours. As soon as Gujarat Police brought this murder case in front of everyone, everyone was shocked. The accused had committed various crimes in five states. After hard work, the police succeeded in catching this psycho killer.
In the last few days, five consecutive incidents of theft, robbery, rape and murder were reported in five states. In which the method of committing the crime was exactly the same. The four murders that took place last month had one thing in common that all the incidents took place around trains. When the police investigated the case thoroughly, the accused was taken into custody from Vapi in Gujarat.
According to the police, the name of the accused is Rahul Singh Jat (29) and he is a resident of Rohtak, Haryana. In Valsad, Gujarat, a 19 year old girl was raped and murdered (serial killer). Rahul Singh Jat was arrested in this case. Then he confessed to all the crimes one by one. Rahul Singh Jat also told the police that he committed murders in trains in Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal and Telangana. Wood was raped. Not only this, just two days before his arrest he had killed a woman in Telangana.
On 14 November, a dead body was found near Udvada railway station in Valsad district of Gujarat. The deceased 19-year-old girl was returning home after finishing her studies in the evening. She was walking while talking on the mobile phone. The accused stabbed her from behind, raped her and strangulated her to death. Even after killing the girl, the killer raped her for two hours.
When the killer felt hungry he went to a nearby shop and had breakfast. After buying a water bottle and cold drink, he reached the place where he murdered the girl. He had come there to rape the dead body. But seeing people gathering there, he left his belongings there and ran away.
The accused (serial killer) had left his T-shirt and bag at the spot, which became important evidence for the police. In this case, it was difficult to catch the murderer because he kept changing places again and again. He was mostly around railway stations and trains. Whenever the accused saw women alone, he used to rob and rape them. Importantly, he was traveling in a handicapped passenger compartment. Rahul Jat had gone to Surat, Valsad and Vapi 4 to 5 times last year.
Along with the police, the Railway Police also participated in the investigation of this case. To investigate the case, the police had to examine the footage of 2000 CCTV cameras. The accused was jailed in Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in 2018-19 and 2024 in cases of truck theft and illegal arms smuggling.
5 incidents were committed in one month
- On November 24, a woman was robbed and murdered in a train near Secunderabad railway station in Telangana.
- On November 19, near Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal, an elderly man was stabbed to death with the intention of robbery in Katihar Express.
- On November 14, a 19-year-old student was raped and murdered in Valsad, Gujarat. The girl student's body was also raped.
- A passenger was strangled in a disabled compartment of a train in Karnataka on October 25.
- A woman was raped and murdered on a train going from Pune to Kanyakumari between October 17 and 21 near Solapur railway station in Maharashtra.
