Google had announced a major change in the way location history is stored. Users will now have the option to save their Timeline data locally on their device or back it up in encrypted form to the cloud.

If you take no action, So Google Will start deleting location data older than the last three months. After that, The new location history will only be saved locally on your device, Which means that your timeline will no longer be accessible on the web.

How to save your location history

1. Google Takeout Using:

Google Takeout Go to.

Select the “Location History (Timeline)” option.

Click “Next Steps” and then select “Create Export”.

Your location history will be exported, And you can store it safely.

Open your phone's Settings.

Location > location services > Go to Timeline.

from here, You can back up your location data specific to your device.

What you need to know after the changes

Once the new system is implemented, So your location data will be stored separately for each device. This means that your timeline will no longer be integrated across multiple devices on the web.
