Now forget about filling petrol every day by taking Honda Activa Electric. Range will be 102 km at a cheaper price.

The wait is over! Honda has introduced the first electric scooter 'Honda Activa e:' in the Indian market. This scooter comes with a swappable battery pack, and the company claims that it will give a range of 102 km on a single charge. The company has not announced its prices yet, but they seem to be quite aggressive about it.

Honda's battery swapping branch, Honda Power Pack Energy India (HEID), has announced the launch of battery swapping service soon. Honda e:Swap service will start in Bengaluru from February 2025 and in New Delhi and Mumbai from April 2025. HEID aims to install 250 battery-swapping stations in Bangalore, 150 in Delhi and 100 in Mumbai by March 2026.

Under the battery swapping service, when the scooter's battery runs out, the user gets a charged replacement battery at the swapping station, thereby saving time. To avail this service, users will have to register through HEID mobile app, where they will get complete information.

The company has already installed battery exchangers in partnership with HPCL, BMRCL, DMRC, Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited and HMSI dealerships.

Activa Electric has two swappable battery packs with a capacity of 1.5kWh, which powers the 6kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. The scooter has three riding modes: Econ, Standard and Sport. Its top speed in sport mode is 80 kmph and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 7.3 seconds.
